Teaching & Preaching Training

Our latest short course, Teaching & Preaching Training finishes tonight.

We are privileged to have had some truly inspiring lecturers teach on this course. Following excellent, relevant and hugely practical teaching sessions from Pastor Peter Anderson of Destiny Edinburgh and Pastor Craig Denham of Destiny Glasgow, tonight’s final teaching session will be given by Pastor Andrew Owen, Senior Pastor of Destiny Glasgow and founder of Destiny Ministries. The course has explored the purpose of teaching and preaching, how to prepare well for it, spiritually and practically, and how to choose the best presentation style for what you are trying to communicate.

It has attracted one of our highest attendances ever at a Destiny College short course and we are so encouraged to hear the feedback we have had so far.

Applications are now open for our full and part-time courses for the 2018/19 academic year and we are currently updating our short course programme. If you are interested in attending one of our future courses, we’d love to hear from you and please do keep an eye out on the website and social media for news and updates.

Anyone preaching the Gospel and evangelising fills me with joy and respect and a great longing.

My longing is to have the courage to get up and preach the Gospel, to win souls to Christ. But I am absolutely petrified of doing it in public – I couldn’t get up in the busy centre of my town and start preaching, my nerves couldn’t take it. Nor my ego: would I make a fool of myself???

What I think is within my ability and would not cause such terrifying stage-fright is making a series of short YouTube presentations: each one short and dealing with one topic/question/common mistaken thinking/the Bible etc.

Please pray for me so that I, in my own way, can join you, my wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ, in preaching the Gospel.

Yours with all the love possible,

May the Father, Son and Holy Spirit hold you in His heart, dear people,
